Don Denovic, Director of Global Missions & Crossroads Manager

Job Description:

I have somewhat varied responsibilities, which I feel tie in beautifully together.  First, I am the Director of Missions, which allows me the opportunity to directly serve our missionaries,  as well raise awareness of Missions near and far to our own people. I also manage the Cross Roads Café and Bookstore, which is a wonderful place to nourish the body and the mind at the same time.   Put all of these together, and you have a wonderful place to come, meet, and fellowship with fellow believers and those whom we hope, will soon be.

Describe your family:

I am married to my wonderful wife of twenty-four years, Paula. We have three grown children, Joann, Andrea and Brian… and we can’t forget our loveable dog, Buddy.

How do you spend your time when not at the church?

When I’m not at church, I enjoy reading, playing guitar and writing Worship music.  I also enjoy travel  to exotic places like Lorain and Vermilion.

Background information:

I was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina and moved to Erie, Pennsylvania at a very young age.  My parents raised me with a love of music and as a young graduate, was part of a show group which traveled around the Eastern part of the country.  I also was part of a performing duo, called Don & Marie, before there ever was a Donnie and Marie.  My wife and I were both saved in our living room about 24 years ago when an Evangelism Explosion team came to visit.  Since that time, our faith in Christ has mushroomed and our desire to serve ever- increase.  As of four years ago, I was honored with the privilege of being asked to serve at Open Door as the Manager of the Cross Roads. My greatest love is for people and to see them come to Christ.  It just absolutely thrills me to watch as baby Christians grow into mature, God- loving mature ones…. And then they themselves, start leading others in the adventure of becoming like Christ.
