My passion is to help the Open Door staff accomplish their ministry goals. My job responsibilities are to keep the office running smoothly and troubleshoot any problems that may come up and to minister to the staff to accomplish their ministry work to God’s Glory.
I am married to a very energetic and adventuresome husband, Art, who loves to preach God’s Word and see people come to Christ. We will celebrate 38 years of marriage this year, 2009. We have 2 grown children, our daughter, Connie Petersen, who is married to Duane (live in Michigan), and have 3 children, Hannah, Kailee and Claire. Our son, Charles Conrad, who is married to Tricia (live in Ohio), and have 2 children, Maci & Rory. It is exciting to see our children raising their children to follow Christ.
I love spending time with my kids and grandkids. I also love spending time at the Cabin in Canada. A couple of hobbies are riding my bike and sharing Christ; and redecorating my home.
My husband and I were born and raised in Ashland, OH and were high school sweethearts. After my husbands 1st year in college at Michigan State University we got married and moved to MI for him to finish his degree in Landscape Nursery Management. We owned a landscaping business in Ohio for 7 years and during that time my husband accepted Christ as his savior and felt the Lord was calling him into full time ministry. We moved back to MI to go to school full time and I worked as an Executive Secretary for the Dean of the Seminary. We have been in full time ministry serving the Lord (in some capacity) for 30 years. I have been serving at Church of the Open Door since April of 1996. To God Be the Glory!
